Vlad and his dad have escaped from Stokely after Ingrid goes bad. Vlad has got most of his powers because he is the chosen one and he and his dad are hiding out from slayers in a school they have bought. Vlad has visions of Ingrid being chased by slayers and she seems to be ill. Meanwhile Ingrid meets up with Erin, a half-fang who rescues her from the slayers and they run away together. Against his dad's wishes, Vlad manages to turn into a bat and goes after her. She threatens him and he shows how powerful he is now. He leads the slayers away and Erin and Ingrid drive to the school. The Count is not happy with this because he hasn't forgiven Ingrid for what she did in Stokely. Vlad says the sick Ingrid can stay along with Erin. He offers Erin a coffin and she accepts but we see her reflection in a jug showing she is a breather and not a half-fang like she said she was. Written by aivilo6

Vlad invites Erin to stay at the school, unaware that she is in fact an undercover slayer out to avenge her brother. As Ingrid's condition worsens only an expert alchemist can save her, so Renfield's mind-wipe must be reversed. The Count's attempts to find a tutor for Vlad don't go to plan, until Bertrand arrives and insists that Vlad must prove he is the Chosen One by opening the Praedictum Impaver, an ancient book that will give him power over all vampires. When Magda returns unexpectedly, Vlad sees a chance to get out of his father's over-strict training regime and appoints his mother as Regent. But he soon realizes that he's been tricked and must find a way to get out of it before Magda's desire for publicity leads the slayers to them. Erin, unable to slay Ingrid herself, contacts the Blood Brotherhood who want to wipe out the entire Dracula clan. Written by Phil G

When Vlad accidentally humiliates his father by demonstrating his powers, he agrees to make amends by throwing a feast, but must find a way to stop it when he learns that the Count plans to kill Erin at the end of the party. Vlad is not making any progress in his attempts to open the Praedictum Impaver and Bertrand believes it is because Erin is distracting him. With Ingrid's help, Bertrand devises a plan to get rid of Erin and make it look like an accident. Meanwhile, Renfield plays detective to find out who has been stealing from the Count's blood cellar. Powerful vampire Ramanga arrives, expecting the Praedictum Impaver to be opened and demanding to see the Chosen One, so the Count must hide the fact that Vlad has gone missing. Ingrid sees a chance to gain power for herself and tries to persuade Ramanga to team up with her and overthrow the Count. Jealous that her brother is becoming more evil than her, Ingrid plots to destroy him, but he is already far too powerful for her and even the Count is unable to stop him as Vlad nearly kills them both. Ryan is running out of time to find a cure, so Erin returns to the school in the hope that the Praedictum Impaver may hold the answers. But his plans are interrupted when Jonno and Mina Van Helsing unexpectedly turn up at the school and he must test if their mind-wipes are still in place. Erin realizes that the slayers are faking, but keeps quiet in the hope that they can help her brother. Vlad tries to translate the text in the Praedictum Impaver and learns that it was written by Sethius, one of the first ever vampires. Ingrid turns a visiting netball team into vampires and sends them out to kill Vlad, but the inexperienced girls fail miserably. The Count sends a series of anonymous gifts to Miss McCauley, but makes the mistake of getting Renfield to help. While searching Erin's room, Bertrand discovers that she is not only a breather, but also a slayer. Written by Phil G

Erin tricks Jonno and Mina into believing that she has slain Ryan, but he is now loyal to Ingrid and refuses to help his sister. Ingrid hopes she can use the slayers to destroy her family so she can take over, and cons Renfield into helping her. Unsure whether or not to trust Erin's warning about the coming slayer attack, Vlad and the Count visit the Slayers' Guild where they find and destroy a powerful weapon, but Jonno is not convinced by Vlad's desire for peace and is still determined to wipe out the vampires. To everyone's surprise the book brings Sethius back to life, claiming to be the original Chosen One and intent on destroying the whole world.
