A young program called Beck, upon realizing that the leadership of the one called Clu, may not be the best for programs, decides to fight back, but the program he meets in doing so will change his life forever.

Beck starts his training with Tron but gets caught when trying to return to the city. However it is here he realizes that although some blame the renegade for the strict rules on the city at present, others look to him as a beacon of hope for all programs.
