When called to the scene of a horrendous crime Will sees that the police are not being told the whole truth. His insights into the case attract the interest of Dr. Helen Magnus who introduces him to her sanctuary for 'abnormals,' creatures that have remained hidden from most of the world only appearing occasionally as characters in stories and myths. Will is still contemplating the job offer he's received from Dr. Helen Magnus. Her daughter Ashley has finally caught the boy who lived in the apartment where the two policemen were killed. His name is Alexei and Magnus asks Will to speak to the boy. Will's ability to quickly establish a rapport with him convinces Magnus he is the man she needs to work with her. Meanwhile, John Druitt, the man from Helen's past, finds a way to get into the sanctuary. He wants something from her and is willing to put Ashley in danger in order to get it. Dr. Magnus, Will and Ashley rescue three attractive young women from a tomb that is well guarded by violent creatures. The three women - Danu, Tatha and Caird - all claim to be from the Middle Ages but Will is having none of that and is convinced that they are suffering from the same delusion. Dr. Magnus thinks otherwise if for no other treason that the women were kept under a heavily armed guard. The women all wear the same ring and the symbols point to their enemy who want the women back - and who are prepared to destroy the sanctuary to get them. Written by garykmcd

After a man makes an impossible escape - the police actually cornered him after a store robbery in a small room with no other doors or windows and only a small vent. By the time the police entered, he was nowhere to be found. For Will the case is eerily familiar to one he worked on when he was with the FBI. Men who had broken into a bank vault managed to escape, much to Will's embarrassment and how it was done was impossible to determine. Dr. Magnus is aware of this type of abnormal called folding men - who can change their body shape to go through very small openings - and there is even a small community of them living nearby. It also seems that the leader of the folding men who were involved in the most recent escape is the same man who escaped from the bank vault in Will's case. Written by garykmcd

After their airplane crashes in the wintry Hindu Kush, the survivors - Dr. Magnus, Will and several others - have at least five hours to wait until they can be rescued. Unfortunately, they were returning from an expedition to Tibet where they had captured a rare type of snow leopard. It escaped from its metal cage and is what caused the flight to crash. Now the creature is free and all of their lives are in danger. Dr. Magnus is also dreaming about John Druitt and other survivors are also seeing people from their lives. The sanctuary team respond to a call for help from a cargo ship and arrive by helicopter only to find that everyone on board has died a violent death. There are several now empty animal cages in the cargo hold but a few are occupied - by creatures they have never before seen. Two of the creatures are cute little things that Ashley calls nubbins. They soon reproduce a litter of 14 little ones and in general, the nubbins have an interesting effect on those around them. When they escape from their cages, they have a major problem on their hands. Dr. Magnus meanwhile that she has been asked in a will to perform an autopsy on Maurice MacRae who was convinced he was an abnormal. His granddaughter Sophie stays at the sanctuary until the autopsy is finalized but senses something strange about the the place. This proves essential to bringing the nubbins under control. Henry comes to terms with his abnormal side, Ashley works through her feelings about her parents, and Will helps a young autistic man whose father possibly shot himself.

Dr. Magnus' life is put in jeopardy when the team answers a call for help from within the Bermuda Triangle.

When an old friend of Will's goes missing his wife contacts him for help. With the help of Helen and Ashley, Will finds that his friend has been taken and forced to fight underground. But as they continue to search, things start to become quite familiar to Helen. Written by Clemontine
