In 1885 Edward Hyde, Murderous alter ego of Henry Jekyll disappears. Fifty years later orphaned young medic Robert Jekyll returns to London from Ceylon where his superhuman strength and outbursts when stressed have attracted attention, requiring medication from adoptive father, Dr Najaran. He is told by solicitor Max Utterson that he is descended from Dr Jekyll whilst back in Ceylon sinister Captain Dance from the organization Tenebrae kills the doctor and his wife in his search for Robert. Sir Roger Bulstrode, head of MIO, an anti-monster spy network is keen to recruit Robert but before he can do so Robert, hearing of his foster parents' death, undergoes a deadly transformation, being rescued by music hall owner Bella and elderly Mr Garson, who seems to recognize what he is. After waking up in Bella's room Robert calls on Lily, a young woman he met on first arriving in England, and together they visit Max Utterson. Learning from Max that Garson was once the assistant to his grandfather Dr Jekyll Robert seeks him out, saving him from being killed by Tenebrae thugs. They go to Dr Jekyll's house where Robert is shown the laboratory where his grandfather transformed himself into Hyde. In Ceylon Ravi manages to escape from Dance, who, with his lover Fedora, sets sail for England , a fact known to Bulstrode, who is still anxious to locate Robert and use him as the bait to catch them. After saving Maggie's life with a transfusion of the blood he shed as Hyde Robert learns from her that his father Louis Hyde vanished after admitting to doing terrible things for Tenebrae, the army of monsters. The home secretary, whose father Hyde murdered, wants Robert dead but Bulstrode informs him that he has the monocane needed to kill Dance . Dance himself lures Robert to a warehouse to open the Calyx, a mystical jar containing the heart of a demon who could wreak havoc on earth but Bulstrode's sniper kills Dance first. After curing Maggie Robert learns that there is a distant branch of his family, the Jezequiels, living in an isolated house in Suffolk and, with Max in tow, decides to visit, learning from locals about a monstrous black dog which terrorizes the area. Robert is mistrustful of the widowed Renata Jezequiel, whose husband was apparently killed by the creature and whose student son Brant has disappeared and he believes she is a shape shifter, working for Tenebrae, who transforms herself into the black dog. He must use his own powers of alteration to expose the family's secret and defeat the monstrous canine - though victory comes at a cost. Written by don @ minifie-1

Spring-Heeled Jack, a murderous shape-shifter who can jump over buildings and long believed dead, is terrorizing London, stealing his victims organs. After Max's funeral Bulstrode persuades Robert to go after him, releasing Ravi but keeping Robert's pills and medical records for surety. As Hyde Robert traps the man suspected of being the culprit but he is the grandson of the original Spring-Heeled Jack trying to catch the killer and joins forces with Robert. However Jack is infected by a bug produced by the real murderer, who, aided by newspaper baron Protheroe, is stealing body parts for a very sinister purpose. Written by don @ minifie-1

Robert and Ravi pursue Jack but the parasite known as the reaper bursts out of him and into Ravi. Robert is grateful to the medically trained Lily for lending him an X-ray machine to locate the bug but must destroy it before it takes over his brother's brain. With Bella's help he lures Bulstrode to the music hall and, using Hyde's blood and monocane, forces the Reaper out of Ravi and thus finds a way to coerce Bulstrode into leaving him alone. Bulstrode recaptures Robert and offers him his file if he will trap the apparent vampire Olalla. In fact she allows Robert to find her, telling him that they are twin siblings and she was brought up by Dance as his daughter but now that Tenebrae are trying to bring him back to life she wants no more to do with them. Robert and Ravi discover that giant leeches are rising from the Thames to help in Dance's revival and have an awkward encounter with them, being rescued by Olalla. Robert, Ravi and Olalla take Maggie to the safety of Renata's house but Ravi is rightly uneasy as the corpse of Renata's supposedly dead husband Gideon has been inhabited by an escaped incubus, a demon which sucks the life out of others and takes on their form - and Tenebrae are also after it. Renata and Robert both have near fatal encounters with it before Renata explains that her house is a portal to a demonic kingdom ruled by Lord Trash from which the incubus escaped. Robert does battle with the monster, seemingly killing it before Renata informs him of the calyx, the stone jar whose contents will destroy Dance before he returns to London, though not all his party leaves with him Written by don @ minifie-1

Returning to London Robert's group is waylaid by Fedora and her thugs, who steal the incubus, but they are rescued by Garson, Bella and Hils, whom Olalla has contacted. With the incubus in her possession Fedora is able to fully revive Dance but Robert, having learnt Lily's secret, is not best disposed to help MIO until his friends convince him that Dance threatens global security. Tenebrae launches an attack on Bulstrode's headquarters, stealing the all-important Calyx, before arriving at Robert's house for a final, deadly showdown. Written by don @ minifie-1
