While looking around town for someone to rescue, Peter bursts into Cleveland's house, only to catch Loretta having sex with another man. After investigating through the neighborhood, they discover that Quagmire has betrayed his best friend by sleeping with his wife. While he's first skeptical of the program, he discovers the bachelorette is actually an intelligent and interesting woman, and begins to fall for her. When Peter learns that Mort's pharmacy runs a tab system, he goes crazy buying everything he can get his hands on. Unfortunately, he doesn't realize that he eventually has to pay for everything, and ends up thousands of dollars in debt. Peter makes an offer to sell Meg to Mort's son Neil in exchange for canceling the debt. Mort agrees, but Neil has already found a new girlfriend. Brian falls for an African-American teacher at Chris' high school, and tries to impress her by pushing to have the school renamed from James Woods High to Martin Luther King, Jr. High. Peter, not wanting to see the name changed, brings James Woods himself to speak at the school board meeting. While on a deep sea fishing trip, Peter, Joe, Cleveland, and Quagmire are left stranded on an island after a hurricane. After being pronounced dead, Brian decides to take Peter's place as the man of the house and even marries Lois. Upon his return Peter is informed that even though he is back Lois isn't leaving Brian. Frustrated, he decides to turn his life around by going back to school and finishing his degree. Peter and his buddies, meanwhile, win an 80's TV look-alike contest dressed as the A-Team, and find that today's world still has a place for a team of renegades who can get the job done. When Stewie's day care instructor notes a lack of fatherly influence in his life, Lois insists that Peter take a more active role in raising his son. Not much works until Peter discovers how much Stewie enjoys it when Lois gets hurt, and soon the two are going to ever-greater lengths to torment and abuse her. Lois discovers that she has a brother, named Patrick, that her parents have been keeping in a mental hospital for years. He seems perfectly healthy when she goes to see him, however, so she arranges for him to be released and come live with her family. Patrick was hospitalized over trauma at catching his mother in bed with Jackie Gleason, and Peter's appearance brings back the old memories, causing him to go on a killing spree of similarly fat men. During one of his visits Peter's father, Francis, discovers that Stewie has never been baptized, so without Lois' permission Peter and Francis go to church and have him baptized. Upon discovering this, Lois convinces Peter that Stewie should have been able to worship whomever he wanted regardless of his father's religion.
