A woman who doesn't know who she is, is found. She is covered with tattoos and one of them is the name Kurt Weller which is the name of an FBI agent, who is brought in who claims that he doesn't know her. He tries to talk to her but she doesn't know him. They later show her one of her tattoos and she says it's an address and today's date. Weller is sent to check it out and she goes with him. While there, they discover a possible terrorist threat and that she has some unusual skills. Written by [email protected]

The next tattoo of Jane leads them to a former Air Force pilot. When they go to see him, he refuses to talk to them. After they leave his home, it blows up. When they go through the rubble they find no trace of him which leads them to think he did it himself to escape. They talk to a Colonel who refuses to say anything, later the Colonel is killed by a missile from a drone. A General informs them that the man forced a tech to give him control of a drone by abducting his daughter. Weller driven by something in his past wants to save her. Weller suspects he knows who Jane is. And Jane is plagued by memories that makes her think she's done terrible things and she sees the man who made her what she is. Written by [email protected]

The man Jane's been having visions of and thinks she sees, reveals himself but before he could tell her anything he is shot. The team is called in when some men rob a jewelry store, because one of the men is shot and they discover he has tattoo that is similar to one of Jane's. Patterson and her puzzle-expert boyfriend, David decode a tattoo clue that sends the team to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). While at the CDC, the team discovers a hidden message on Jane's body that uncovers a plot that could have catastrophic global consequences. Meanwhile, Jane and Weller grow closer.

After a seemingly straightforward hostage situation turns out to have deeper international implications, the CIA and FBI find themselves racing against each other to apprehend the same criminal with a dark history. Carter expresses concern about Jane's trustworthiness, causing friction with Mayfair and testing Reade's loyalty to the team. Meeting Weller's family proves overwhelming for Jane as she grapples with her identity.

Numbers in Jane's tattoos leads them to investigate a university about their recruiting practices. Reade knows one of the school's coaches and asks him to tell him what he knows but before he could say anything a high ranking school official tells him not to say anything. When they are reporting in, something happens to their communication and that;s when they hear shots. It's one of the school's football players. And someone Mayfair knows whom she thought is dead shows up and says she's in fear for her life and asks Mayfair to help her. Written by [email protected]

Everyone is in the building doing something, Weller is having his mandatory session with Dr. Borden, Reade meets Sarah who's on her way to see Weller and they go up together in the elevator, Mayfair questions Zapata about something, and Jane is working out with Patterson. Suddenly the building is in lock down, they think it's a drill. So they remain where they are. Reade and Sarah are trapped in the elevator. But Patterson discovers there is no cellular service and when she checks online, there is no service either making her think something is going on. So they through the vent and find Weller. They break out and go to Patterson's lab where she discovers someone is hacking the FBI files down loading files on undercover agents. So they try to stop it but they are trapped and to go through would be dangerous. Written by [email protected]

Weller tells his sister what their father told him before he died--that he killed Taylor Shaw. So they set out to prove it. Jane tired of being controlled by Oscar tries to get to the bottom of things and asks someone she encountered to help.
