Zak Morgan's Wild West Show is coming to Avonlea. All the children in town are excited as Zak Morgan is a retired US Marshal, whose heroic tales of justice are chronicled in a series of books. After his arrival, he captures everyone's imagination as a larger than life but still seemingly kind, courageous and thoughtful figure. The person surprisingly most enthralled is Sara. With Felicity's assistance, Sara plots to attract Marshal Morgan's attention as a woman. He does take a liking to Sara - especially since she is training for the show's horse riding competition - but not quite as she wants. But Marshal Morgan is not blind, and he understands that Sara has a crush on him. He has to figure out what to do without hurting her.
